1. Introduction

Seedance 3 runs an AI video studio at seedance-3.video (the "Service") where you can turn text prompts or start frames into short clips and create still images to animate. This Privacy Policy describes the information we gather through the Service and how that information is used, disclosed, stored, and safeguarded.

2. Information We Collect and Process

The data involved varies with the features you touch. It can include:

• Account information: the name and email address tied to your Google or email sign-in, account identifiers, profile and preference settings, and session records.
• Generation information: prompts, start frames and other files you upload, the model, duration, resolution, and aspect ratio you pick, the videos and images returned, render status, the entries saved in My Creations, and the time of each request.
• Payment and subscription information: your plan and billing interval, credit balance, order references, transaction outcome, billing email, invoices, subscription status, and a small amount of payment metadata. Stripe processes card numbers directly, and we never keep full card details on our servers.
• Technical and usage information: IP address, browser, device and operating system, pages visited and features used, request timestamps, error logs, performance measurements, and signals used to detect abuse.
• Communications: messages to support, content reports, privacy requests, feedback, and any related exchanges with us.
• Cookies and similar technologies: data that keeps you signed in, manages sessions, protects accounts, remembers interface preferences, supports analytics, and lets the core product function.

3. How We Use Information

We put this information to work to:

• Run text-to-video, image-to-video, and image generation, along with your account, My Creations history, subscriptions, and credit balance
• Verify who you are, keep sessions active, and help you regain access to your account
• Send your prompts and start frames to the model you selected and deliver the finished clip or image back to you
• Handle orders, plan changes, credit top-ups, invoices, cancellations, and refunds
• Catch prohibited content, fraudulent activity, abuse, and security threats
• Diagnose failed renders and other errors, watch performance, understand which features get used, and improve the Service
• Reply to support, content, legal, and privacy enquiries
• Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

Our legal grounds, where such grounds are required, are the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the Service, compliance with the law, and your consent in situations where the law demands it.

4. Prompts, Start Frames, and Generated Videos

To carry out a render, we process your prompt, any uploaded start frame, the settings you chose, and the resulting output. That material may pass to third-party AI model, infrastructure, storage, and safety providers. Generation requests are routed through API aggregators such as KIE (and, for some features, Replicate or FAL) to the provider behind the selected model. Video jobs may be handled by ByteDance Seedance 1.5 Pro, Google Veo 3.1, or OpenAI Sora 2, and still images by engines such as OpenAI GPT Image, Google Nano Banana, ByteDance Seedream, xAI Grok Imagine, Alibaba Wan, or Qwen Image.

Please do not upload confidential material, or personal data about other people that you have no right to process. Prompts, start frames, and generated clips or images may be scanned by automated moderation to identify prohibited content and misuse.

5. Cookies and Analytics

Essential cookies and comparable browser storage keep you logged in, secure your account, and make the generator work. We may also rely on preference and analytics tools to remember your settings, see how features are used, investigate performance problems, and make the Service better. Product analytics run on a self-hosted Plausible instance.

Your browser settings let you manage most cookies. If you block essential cookies, signing in and other core functions may stop working. Where applicable law makes non-essential analytics conditional on consent, we will obtain that consent before turning them on.

6. How We Share Information

We never sell personal information. Limited information is disclosed only when needed, to:

• AI and content-safety providers, including the model providers and API aggregators described above, which process prompts, start frames, and outputs to fulfil a render or run safety checks
• Cloud infrastructure and storage providers, such as Cloudflare, whose Workers platform runs the Service and whose R2 storage holds uploaded files and generated media
• Payment providers, currently Stripe or another provider named at checkout, which handle purchases, subscriptions, refunds, fraud screening, and tax or billing duties
• Authentication, email, analytics, monitoring, and support providers that help us run and protect the Service, including Google for Google sign-in
• Authorities or other parties where the law or legal process requires it, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect users, rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service
• A successor organization involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or asset sale, with appropriate safeguards applied

These providers are permitted to use the information only for the purposes we engaged them for, and they remain subject to applicable confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

7. Data Retention

We hold information only as long as it is reasonably required to operate the Service, keep your generation history, maintain security, settle disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory duties.

• Account and generation data may be held for as long as the account is active or history features remain switched on.
• Uploaded start frames and generated videos or images may stay in My Creations or in the R2 storage needed to deliver the Service.
• Billing and transaction records may be held for as long as tax, accounting, payment, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution rules require.
• Security logs and support correspondence may be held for a reasonable period reflecting operational and legal needs.

When we have verified a request to delete data or close an account, eligible personal data is erased or de-identified within 30 calendar days. Encrypted backups may still contain it for up to 90 additional days until they are routinely purged. Some limited records may be kept for longer where needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, chargebacks, dispute resolution, or defending legal rights.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you may be able to:

• Learn which categories of personal data we collect, use, and disclose
• View your personal data or receive a copy of it
• Fix account details that are wrong or incomplete
• Have eligible personal data erased and your account closed
• Limit certain processing or object to it
• Obtain certain information in a portable, machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent when processing depends on it
• Unsubscribe from marketing messages, if any are sent, while continuing to get essential billing and security notices
• File a complaint with your local data-protection authority

How to exercise your rights

Send an email to support@seedance-3.video from the address on your account, with Privacy Request or Account Deletion Request as the subject. Say which of these you want (access, correction, export, restriction, objection, account closure, or deletion) and point us to the account or data concerned.

Before acting, we may request reasonable information that confirms your identity, so that nobody else can obtain or erase your data. Eligible requests are acknowledged and fulfilled within 30 calendar days. Where the law allows extra time for a complex request, we will tell you why and when we expect to finish. Certain profile details can also be changed directly in your account settings.

Erasing eligible personal data or closing an account does not oblige us to erase transaction, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute records that we must keep by law or retain to legitimately protect the Service and its users.

9. International Data Transfers

Because the Service and its providers operate globally, your information may be processed outside your home country. Where the law requires it, those transfers rely on suitable safeguards such as contractual commitments, recognized adequacy mechanisms, and access controls.

10. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures help protect your information, including encrypted connections, restricted access, credential protection, logging, and content-safety and abuse-prevention controls where they fit. No internet service can guarantee complete security.

Should we detect a personal-data incident that the law requires us to report, we will notify affected users and the competent authorities within the legally mandated timeframe.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone below that age. If the laws that apply to you set a higher minimum age, you must meet it as well. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, contact us so we can investigate and remove eligible data.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service can link to, or connect with, services run by third parties, such as Google sign-in or Stripe checkout. Those services apply their own privacy policies, and this Privacy Policy does not govern information they gather independently.

13. Changes to This Policy

As the Service, our providers, or legal requirements evolve, this Privacy Policy may be revised. The updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top, and where the law requires it we will also give further notice of material changes.
